Top 3 practical cases of IoT World Summit Russia which you need to see live

The use of computer technology is the key to a successful future business. The Internet of Things penetrates into all spheres of human life. It is inextricably connected with effective work.
World leaders in the field of computerization prove it through their labour and concrete examples of IoT use in everyday life.

IoT World Summit Russia is an event where a number of current successful practical cases will be presented from around the world. We have tried to choose the most interesting examples of implementation of Smart technology in various business processes and invited leaders of these innovative projects as speakers of the summit. Here are just a few practical cases of IoT World Summit Russia which you need to see live.

  • Statoil stakes on IoT

Norwegian company Statoil puts high hopes on development of IoT and active implementation of innovations into all spheres of human life. The company plans to invest from 1 to 2 billion Norwegian kroner (1.2 million US dollars - 2.35 million US dollars) for new researches and developments in the field of digital technologies as well as for their execution.

One of the first areas of improvement will be the digitization of working processes. This should improve efficiency by minimizing the need in manual repetitive tasks. Then it is planned to conduct advanced data analytics and machine learning which will give the opportunity to understand better a large number of complex data which are already available. And finally - robotics and remote control operations such as robotic drilling which will increase safety and reduce costs by decreasing human activity in "physically intensive activities".

Chief IT analyst of Statoil - Einar Landre - will speak at IoT World Summit Russia and will talk in more detail about all stages of integration of Internet of Things technology in industrial production using the example of Statoil innovations.

  • Innovative Seoul - the city of the future

The Internet of Things has become the most important trend in improving the live of dozens of innovative cities. Today Seoul is one of the "smartest" cities in the world. Implementation of computer technologies into urban environment began in 2011. The implemented projects are based on the use of Big Data algorithms that allows

The implemented projects are based on the use of Big Data algorithms that allows to manage effectively main objects in the city. So, today city routes are optimized for buses at night time as well as taxi routes, work operation of metro stations is adjusted too. In addition, with the help of Big Data technologies, the projects have been executed to protect older people and children from road accidents and also those who were in need of additional care have received special devices to transmit the information to the police office, fire department or ambulance services. As a result, they could manage to save millions of liters of fuel for city transport, reduce a number of greenhouse gases approximately by half and also reduce road deaths from 57% to 38%.

The Vice-Mayor of the capital of the Republic of Korea, Mr. In Dong Cho, will share the experience of implementing IoT Technologies in the infrastructure of a large metropolis. He will tell about the mistakes as well as the practical achievements at all stages of execution such a complex and multilevel project.

  • Smart Industry: YANDEX DATA FACTORY experience

IoT Technologies actively penetrate into the industry. Despite world experience in IoT innovations usage, many industrial companies approach the topic of the Internet of Things in isolation, focusing primarily on infrastructure issues and new ways of collecting and transmitting data.

At the same time, according to Alexander Khaytin, Executive Director of Yandex Data FACTORY, IoT should be viewed not as a "thing-in-itself", but as a source and environment for implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies. Artificial intelligence and Industrial Internet of Things are inextricably connected and that’s why they are equally important for success.

At the summit, Mr. Khaytin will share his company's experience on how and where to start working with new technologies to get measurable benefits for any size of businesses.

Internet of Things - one of the most popular concepts of the modern world development. And moreover it’s one of the few that are no longer concepts but reality. IoT World Summit Russia is a chance to gather world experience within one event.
